On 28 June 1914, Archduke Ferdinand was assassinated in Sarajevo
… and the world went to war.
On 28 June 2014 we brought you:
Pip, Squeak and Wilfred — the record legacy of 1914-1918
at the Marlborough School, Woodstock, OX20 1LP
Talks covered the medals and medal cards, the ongoing discovery of (and identification of) memorabilia, and a plethora of other aspects of the record legacy from the period. There were speakers from the National Archives as well as from academia and the family history world.
The day’s programme is now available.
When the dust has settled, we will collect links from the speakers and the attendees and make them available here. Links concerning any aspect of the WWI period can be submitted either by commenting below or by email to email@example.com
