Oxfordshire FHS has been asked to publicise the following event by the Federation of Family History Societies (FFHS). Please note that as this is not an event organised or promoted by OFHS, we can not answer questions thereon – the organiser’s webpage details can be found towards the end of the notice.
Essex has one of the longest-established Record Office in England. This year, it will celebrate 75 years of preserving the county’s past by holding an Open Day.
The varied programme includes behind-the-scenes tours, displays, archive films and an opportunity to ask questions at the research helpdesk. So if you live in or near Essex or have family connections with the county, do come along to the Record Office at Chelmsford on Saturday 14 September. The event runs from 10.00am to 4.00pm.
Admission is free and more details can be found here :-
